Acidity levels, types and intensity of your coffee

-

Did you know that there are different types of acidity in your coffee?

Basically, the acidity of a product depends on its pH. The lower the pH, the greater the intensity of acidity. To define acidity in our coffees, we have 8 different types, depending on their intensity.

1. NEUTRAL: An example could be carrots, which have a subtle flavor, without overly marked notes.

2. ACRE: A refreshing and slightly more pronounced touch, like the flavor of a tonic.

3. AGRIA: Here we find a more intense acidity, similar to balsamic vinegar.

4. SOFT: It is a light and pleasant acidity, like that of a red apple.

5. JUICY: This acidity is intense and fruity, like that of a mango.

6. VINOSA: With a more complex acidity, similar to that of a sweet wine. Here we find notes of fermented fruits.

7. MELOSA: A mild acidity, with a rounder sensation, similar to dried fruits or raisins.

8. BRILLIANT: It is a very intense acidity, like that of a lemon.
