Levels of intensity and body of your coffee

-

Would you be able to define what type of body type your coffee has?

The body in coffee is basically the tactile sensation and the weight in the mouth that our coffee leaves us when we drink it. It is one of the most important characteristics when tasting a coffee, since a coffee that is too diluted or too concentrated can damage the final experience of our beverage. The types of body that we can find in coffee are:

1. STEAMY: It is a mouthfeel similar to that of a weakly extracted tea. It feels almost like water.

2. LIGHT: Like skim milk, it has a light and subtle sensation on the palate, but with a low density.

SOFT: Similar to semi-skimmed milk, it has a more present body, but without being heavy, offering a pleasant and smooth mouthfeel.

4. TERSO: It is the body of the oat milk, balanced and with a velvety sensation, without being too heavy.

5. SWEET: A dense and delicate body, like custard, that leaves a heavy and prolonged sensation in the mouth.

6. CREMOSO: Like condensed milk, it has a rich and dense texture, very pleasant and with an enveloping sensation on the palate.

7. OIL: Similar to olive oil, it has a denser texture, with an oily sensation that coats the mouth.

8. UNTUOSOUS: This body is the most dense and thick, similar to chocolate cream or candy.
