Recommended Method of Use
1. Remove the coffee filter from the filter holder and replace it with a blind filter.
2. For daily cleaning, add 1 level scoop of EVO® to the filter holder and insert it as if you were going to brew an espresso. If the machine is cleaned less frequently, use 2 level scoops.
3. Start the cycle and let it run for 10 seconds to dissolve the cleaner.
4. Stop the cycle and let it sit for 10 seconds.
5. Start and stop the cycle 4 more times: let it run for 10 seconds and stop for 10 seconds.
6. Remove the portafilter and rinse it thoroughly under the water stream from the brew group. Turn off the machine.
7. Reinsert the filter holder with the blind filter, then start and stop the cycle 10 times: let it run for 5 seconds and stop for 2 seconds to ensure a thorough rinse.
8. Remove the blind filter and insert the regular filter.
9. Extract and discard an espresso to recondition the machine.
