Learning how to prepare the perfect espresso
Our courses focus first on espresso preparation, from grinding the bean with the proper grind to achieving a balanced extraction. As you progress, you dive into the essential parameters such as temperature, pressure and extraction time, all of which are crucial to obtaining that ideal cup that fascinates coffee aficionados.

Knowing the language and tools of the barista
In our training for coffee shop workers, we focus much of our teaching on the unique language of the coffee world. Understanding the specific vocabulary is crucial to being able to fully immerse yourself in the coffee culture and communicate with other professionals and enthusiasts in the field.

During our introductory courses, we provide the foundation for anyone to provide quality coffee service, something that is valued today not only in specialty coffee shops, but in any hospitality environment. Our training includes:

We dive into the essence of our training program, designed to reveal every secret from the origin of the bean to the perfection of serving it. Cultivating barista skills is our passion, and with our barista courses, you'll become the storyteller behind every cup served.

Ergonomics and Barista Workflow
Ergonomics and effective workflow are essential to providing exceptional service. In our barista courses, we not only prepare you in technical skills, but in creating an optimal workstation that strengthens efficiency and service quality. Committed to excellence, we ensure that every movement and every choice at the coffee bar is part of a well-choreographed dance, ready to delight the recipient of the cup.

What does it include?

- Explanation about specialty coffee

- Presentation of the machine and the grind to be used, all about its operation.

- Demonstration of the basic variables to perform an espresso extraction.

- Practice of espresso recipe elaboration

- Key points when replicating the recipe in a work flow.

- Brief explanation of proper milk emulsification

- Emulsification practice with milk and vegetable drink

- Demonstration of two key figures to start latte art (heart and tulip)

- Cleaning and care of the machinery

- Resolution of general doubts

- Dossier with everything you have learned (will be sent once the course is finished)

- Support on any doubts you may have once you have finished the course.

- Machinery you will use: Classic Line by La Marzocco and Mythos One by Victoria Arduino.

At The Coffee Academy, we strive to provide a high quality learning experience for all our students. Two weeks prior to the course, you will receive a confirmation email. If the minimum of three attendees is not reached, the course will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.

We are committed to your satisfaction and will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure that you get the maximum benefit from your experience with us.

The Coffee Academy is not responsible for the approval of the Q Grader program, but we guarantee that you will be trained by the best professionals to help you achieve it.

Cancellation policy

When you purchase a course your place is automatically reserved, if you do not attend you leave out other people who would have liked to participate, here are the points of our cancellation policy:

- A 50% penalty is charged if the course is cancelled less than 15 days or 48 h before the course takes place, returning only half of the total purchase of the course.

- No money will be refunded if the student does not attend the course or notifies us in less than 48 hours.

- Once the date has been set, no changes can be made, except in case of force majeure (illness or accident).

- If for any reason of force majeure (illness, accidents ...) the student can not attend, you can be assigned a place in the next course, this change will be made only once, the money will not be refunded if the student does not attend the course.

- If you give any of our courses or workshops as a gift, this gift voucher will be valid for 12 months after the date of purchase.

- Our cancellation policy does not apply in case of illness or accident.
