BASIC TASTES, HOW TO PRACTICE THEM AT HOME?

In order to improve your sensitivity when tasting coffee, we recommend you to practice with the different basic tastes, for this we leave you this video tutorial on how to prepare your training exercises.

The ingredients you will need are: sugar, salt, lemon, bitter and umami.

Dissolve each ingredient in 200ml of water.

You can try making 3 levels of different intensities of each taste, for example:

- Salt level one 0.3 gr

- Salt level two 0.6 gr

- Salt level three 0,9gr

Ideally, as you go through the exercises you should decrease the amount of grams to use at each level.

You may have to do it consciously at the beginning, but ideally you should be able to recognize them blindly, try it!
