-

Here are some references about this method

  1. One of the oldest methods still in use today, it was invented in France in 1850 and patented in 1852.
  2. The french press is an immersion method and is one of the most popular methods for the preparation of filtrate at home because of its practicality and ease of use.
  3. It consists of 2 parts, a cylindrical glass or plastic jar and a plunger, which will be used to filter and separate the solid part from the liquid when it is pressed against the coffee.
  4. As a curious fact, this method is not only used to filter coffee, it is also very popular to prepare infusions and to texturize milk at home.

If you would like to make filtered coffees with the french press as a coffee pro, we recommend that you take a look at our filter workshop, where we teach you the technique to prepare this and other filtering methods.
