WHAT IS CHANNELING AND HOW TO AVOID IT?

-

Do you know what channeling is and why it is so detrimental to our coffees?

Channeling or channeling are cracks, fissures, air bubbles or any type of space that can be created in the bed of your coffee before extracting it, in this video we show you the most common causes:

1. If the coffee is too fine

2. If we hit the filter holder when we place it in the filter holder

3. Too much pressure on the machine

If you want to learn more in detail how to correctly prepare the coffee bed, extraction times and the appropriate amount of coffee in the basket, sign up for our Espresso Workshop where you will learn and practice all these parameters in a group and in person.
