When we say bypass we refer to a technique used in filtered coffee preparations that consists of slightly diluting the already filtered beverage with water after the coffee has been extracted.

The bypass can be a useful tool to improve the final cup, especially in methods with a short and very intense ratio, such as the Aeropress.
